===========
You might not notice it, but today we've introduced a whole raft of changes to the station, which will help it to run more smoothly and our DJs to do even better shows!
- New streaming server!
We've been beavering away for months building a brand new streaming server, using the LiquidSoap streaming programming language (http://savonet.sourceforge.net/) This will improve the way we handle shows from remote locations and automatic playlist generation when there's no one actually live on air.
Plus!
- New broadcast mixer!
- New studio iMac!
- New Mp3 DJ control surface!
- New shiny website (coming soon....)
Yes, we're also hoping to launch a fresher, cleaner website to go along with all these other changes, which will highlight our research role as well as providing quick access to the stream.
Update your bookmarks
=================
If you currently listen to the stream using software like VLC or Winamp, rather than through the website, then you may need to update your bookmarks. Visit http://culturelabradio.ncl.ac.uk/ to grab an updated m3u or xspf playlist.
